The United States, over USAID-a/Kosovo and initiatives for the effective municipalities in cooperation with municipalities over Kosovo in order to assist municipalities to fit the framework of decentralization and improve service delivery through increased revenue from its own resources and the promotion of democratic process. Within this program to help municipalities, representatives of USAID and the EMI’s (an initiative for efficient municipalities), headed by the director of the program Mr. Rendy Repola signed a memorandum with the mayor of Ranilug Mr. Gradimir Mikic for donating a truck-graders who is delivered to municipality Ranilug.Also signed a memorandum of cooperation with the municipal public service, company HIGIJENA from Gnjilane and the regional dump located in the area of the municipality of Gnjilane for storage of waste that is collected on the territory of Ranilug municipality on the afore mentioned dump.Both parties that signed this memorandum have expressed satisfaction with the implementation of this contract. Mr. Mikic thanked on behalf of the municipality and its citizens for the cooperation of the EMI and USAID, and on their understanding of the needs of inhabitants of the municipality Ranilug, because this will greatly facilitate the cleaning of roads and allow the removal of illegal dumps in the territory of Ranilug municipality, and therefore improve the environment and increase the satisfaction of citizens.Mr. Repola expressed satisfaction for efforts in the implementation of this project by the management of municipal Ranilug and stressed that he hopes this constructive cooperation will continue in the future. Ranilug municipality will monitor the status of the project and will also provide maintenance and sustainability of the project after the implementation of project.Municipaliy Ranilug will be awarded with tribute award for municipality cooperation with USAID. 21/09/2010 in the Municipality Ranilug USAID representatives signed a memorandum with the mayor of Ranilug Mr. Gradimir Mikic for purchace a truck-grader.
